i’ve been here for a year now and The events they host here are amazing! we just had a margarita and guacamole event today and it was perfect timing after a long day at work.
freshly made margaritas and custom made guacamole and both were yummy! I’m never leaving!
There has been a dog that urinates on the floor outside the 6th floor elevator for OVER A YEAR. Management won't do anything about it other than mop it up every now and then and shampoo the carpet near (where it's not urinating) to try to mask the smell. It's foul all year round but come DC summer the humidity makes the whole floor smell toxic. The metal area where the dog urinates has now rusted too.
This building is NOT SAFE! Resident since March 2020. Management allows homeless people to wander the building from days to weeks at a time and cars get stolen from our “secure” parking garage they charge $250/month for. In January of 2023, a homeless woman was living inside of the building for two full weeks and wasn’t removed until she attacked a resident. In July 2023, another homeless person was wandering and living inside the building for almost a week. I encountered this person in my hallway trying to open the front door to my apartment and others in my hallway. I informed management, to which I was told the police had already looked for him without luck, so they left without removing him. Additionally in July 2023, a car was stolen from the resident garage that costs $250/month to park in. After these July incidents, management sent out an email and put the onus of security on us residents, saying it’s our responsibility to not allow other people to follow us into the building and to not allow cars to follow us into the garage. It’s pretty appalling that a “luxury” apartment is telling the residents to risk their safety to run security for them. Management has NEVER sent out emails informing or warning residents of these specific issues. I assume there are far more incidents I am not aware of, as the only reason I know of these is because I was in the lobby passing through as police are leaving or other residents are reporting the issues. I also called management after the incident I witnessed in January to inquire about security and was told I would be contacted, but no such contact ever occurred. If you value a safe environment this building is not for you.
living at station house is magical. and by that i mean it’s like you’ve magically traveled back in time to the tenement ages. if you’d like to experience what life was like for the typical member of the abject poor underclass of the 1800s, look no further!
the place is teeming with urban biodiversity: on any given day you can find rats, mice, and cockroaches the size of your thumb just chilling inside the building. there is also a wide assortment of bugs that constantly flit about and add pizzazz and spice to the general environment. if you stay in the lobby for more than 30 seconds, you will get a lovely souvenir in the form of several dozen mosquito bites! the bugs come in from the loading dock and garage which remain open all day every day, because safety doesn’t exist in the middle ages!
that’s another plus of living at station house- i don’t need to go to my self defense classes anymore because i can just get hands on experience for free living here! just ask the axe-man that made an appearance in the building a couple weeks ago. or the multiple unhoused vagrants wandering the halls for weeks and taking up residence in the bathroom. or the multiple victims of muggings and grand vehicular theft- life is so interesting here! i can’t be thankful enough for all the excitement. you never know what’ll happen next living here- station house keeps ya on your toes!
on top of that, the wifi has been out for 4 months, which really adds to the 17th century authenticity and rustic environment. and the place is managed by a monopoly- the fact that they even got robber baron live reenactment??? incredible!!! they spared no stops on this wild ride!!!
the building even comes with its own version of 17th century victorian ghosts! management will ghost you about every matter; it’s like they dont exist except on a spiritual plane! moreover, the building cannot keep a dedicated staff member to man the concierge desk or leasing office because the turnover is so high (due to the crime- it all ties in!)- i’ll frequently see a new face only to have them disappear within a day or a week tops, leading me to wonder if i even really saw them at all or if they were spirits and i was imagining them the whole time
the only downside is that the price doesn’t happen to correlate with the times- those are sadly still stuck in the 21st century :/
The building and apartments are really beautiful, I love the location, and they organize a lot of events. They even have a jaccuzi! The indoor greenhouses are my favorites. Luckily, I haven't encountered any of the things that other …
Karaoke night was suuuuuch a blast! Four Corners Entertainment hosted such a bumpin party by the poolside during the Super Moon! JD the DJ crushed (incredible tenor) and Brock the bartender/comedian did splits that had us all cheering. LOVED it and can’t wait to go to the next one!
We've been at Station House for a few months now and we absolutely love it!! We plan to stay and re-sign once our current lease is up. The building is beautiful, clean, and safe. The amenities are great and the staff is really wonderful! …
Just came home from work and the lobby was lit! Freshly made guacamole with a bunch of amazing margaritas. Alot of residents showed up. I have lived here for 4 years and just love the events these 4 corners guys do. Comedy, cocktail events, etc. This building is great! Bring back again soon
